Privacy
Last updated 18 August 2026
tr3 publishes public-data archives. Reading one never requires an account, and none of them identifies you, follows you between sites, or sells anything about you.
This policy governs every tr3 site. Each site also publishes its own privacy page describing what is specific to it — chiefly what, if anything, it measures. Where a site's page says more, it adds detail; it does not remove anything promised here.
Published today: Hacker News Clue.
What is true of every tr3 site
- No accounts. Reading never requires a login, a name, or an email address.
- No advertising and no ad pixels. No visitor data is sold or shared for advertising.
- No cross-site tracking. Nothing links your reading on one tr3 site to your reading on another, and no visitor or session identifier is assigned that would make that possible.
- No person-level profiles. Where a site measures anything, it measures aggregates.
Hosting
Every tr3 site is served by Cloudflare, which processes network information such as an IP address in order to deliver and protect the site, under Cloudflare's privacy policy (opens in a new tab). That processing is Cloudflare's, not ours, and happens for any site behind their network.
Measurement
Sites differ here, which is why each publishes its own page. Some measure nothing beyond what Cloudflare counts server-side. Hacker News Clue runs first-party aggregate measurement and documents every field it records, including the ones it deliberately discards before they leave the browser — see its privacy page for the full list.
No tr3 site uses Google Analytics, third-party analytics scripts, advertising pixels, or device fingerprinting.
When you contact us
Where a site offers a contact or suggestion form, submitting it sends what you typed to the maintainer. That is the only circumstance in which you give a tr3 site information about yourself, and it happens only because you chose to. Each site's own page names the services involved in delivering it.
Changes
